Octabe rounded up investors and raised 117+ B, with added softbank to the list of investors and if Paul is able to pull in those investors who went with Octane, its very much possible Qualcomm goes private.

Make more $$$$$ and regain some credit.
Why would he be able to make a success of the secret sauce when private and not when public ?
Happening in some form for sure. OP is making a point. Buckle up folks....
been smokin too much weed OP. reality distortion alert
Qcom stock price was $81 4 years ago, and was only above that for a short period of time in the dot com era. The board may be clowns, but I don't see how they could believe Qcom is worth an amount that it never was. This is why I think asking for a high price was a delay tactic.
I think it should be easy for the board to do a reversal and accept $82 or lower. Up until now, China was Qcom's best friend, and now, to ward off Bcom, they made China an enemy, which the Chinese are probably not happy about. Octane went about telling people how he was chummy with Trump, but Trump blocked the acquisition.
82 significantly undervalues Qualcomm relative to the Company’s leadership position in mobile technology and our future growth prospects. 82+ please
Whether their actions were defensible is another matter. However, the current board cannot realistically accept an offer less than that of Broadcom’s.
They have a responsibility to stockholders and even if you believe their motives weren’t pure, then is no way they will do a u turn on their rhetoric about the company value.
As such, I’d be amazed if anything under 86-90 bucks would be an acceptable amount.
I’d be equally amazed if PJ found the support to find such a bid
Octabe rounded up investors and raised 117+ B,
Octane has a track record of success in extracting value from his acquisitions, so was able to just get the investor's $$$
PJ has a track record of receiving jobs at his fathers company. Very different.
@Sf3VZn9-kdz, you can't just make up numbers as a delay tactic. Proves the shareholders right in voting out these clowns.
Before the Bcom takeover, Qcom's stock was around $55, and they offered $70. They later offered $82. Stock price is what it is. Why wouldn't an investor take $82 over $55? Majority of investors had already voted for Bcom's board members, so they agreed Bcom's offer was fair. Qcom was saying offer price was too low as a delay tactic because they didn't want to be bought.
The only reason I would be happy to see Paul take QC private is the hope that it would bankrupt him.
Financially that is. Morally, he's already there.
An offer of 10x 2019 EPS is garbage. So a new offer should be substantially more than BRCM, or qcomvalue.com is simply misleading investors. Giving a discount to PJ for the sake of nostalgia won't happen.
Complaining that Bcom's offer was too low was just a way to reject offer from Bcom, even though offer was good. Board may accept PJ's offer only because it will keep Qcom Qcom. However, he will offer less than Bcom.
Yes, let‘s completely ignore the fact that AVGO put its own money and stock into this in addition to money raised from investors.
PJ's poor performance makes sense now, he can only pull this off of the stock price is depressed.
Take the B and go or else you will get M
