I left before the 2016 strike. Now I work for a regional gas company. Everyday makes me realize how screwed up life at VZ really was. It’s a union workforce with non of the Romper-Room nonsense that goes on betwen VZ and its unions. Everybody behaves like grown-ups.

If you haven't figured it out the company doesn't care if the union pukes chase you around scaring the sh-- out of you. If Lowell McDipshit had to go or his family it would be different. If you go you won't remain employed at Verizon.

Sad but true clickbait "Ten Signs Your Job Doesn’t Deserve You For Another Year"

http://www3.forbes.com/leadership/ten-signs-your-job-doesnt-deserve-you-for-another-year/

11 The company decides whatever your job is that you can abandon it for 7 weeks and get chased by angry mobs of red shirts

I was there for the last one and I will say not many of us cared about the money. It was horrible being away from our families and lied to about return dates. The constant fear of reporting to an unfamiliar work location and being stalked daily led you to have that fear even when you were back in the room. There seemed to be no safe place. The Company knows and is aware of our concerns.

I believe those who are saying bring on the money, wasn't there.

EWA duty is horrible and it's your ejection seat out of the company.....avoid it at all cost including medical reasons which works, and there cannot be any repercussions for that because you can file a lawsuit. Tried and proven.

This is where the VZ management employees go to learn to do the craft jobs. Really bad video but it is the location at Leesburg, VA that shows the small room that you get when you arrive along with video of the tunnels connecting the buildings together and the dinning facility. I was there in Spring of 2016, before being deployed to Holbrook, NY then RIFd in fall of 2017. Be warned, your time at VZ is only for as long as your director likes you.

Glad I got cut though, I'm now a PgM with the DoD and have more job security than ever before. Thanks for the payout VZW!
