Let us do some math. 1 billion in cost savings. Hmmm
Average expense on one engineer $250k ( including benefits, soda, free lunches, individual office etc etc etc).
$1million = 4 engineers ( worthless expense)
1 billion = 4000 layoffs
NXP not happening then 4000 + xxxx = 5000 maybe to make up some numbers

Plenty of scope for reduced matching and bumping up the fund fees paid by employees. Those fund choices are too low cost; shift the cost to the employees. Need to work with fidelity to figure out how to shift the admin costs too. Might only be a few thousand $ here and there; but the savings add up.
HSA contributions - gone ! Thats an easy save !

News from China today that NXP is not happening anytime soon if at all. This is going to put more pressure on stock. It has been a dismal quarter and numbers are not looking good. Without NXP this will be worse. Stock will be in 40s by next week. Something has to give. This is by far the most incompetent bunch of jokers trying to run a company. Pathetic.

SM is nowhere to be seen since last week. Talked to people at Moorehouse bldg. SM is negotiating his golden parachute. He is going to get few more millions while rest of us will get shafted. Also hearing that jha is ready to take over. BTW coincidentally he resigned from GF few days back. Now who would resign a well paying CEO job unless he has another one lined up. Seems like credible. Not sure if that is the announcement tomorrow or Friday?
