I’ve just overwhelmed by the way IBMS Have know Knowledge of the upcoming IRAs I was sitting in a restaurant overheard a female manager for analytics talking about Who will bee on the List. But what the heck right we are in Vegas parting it up getting paid every day.

IBM leadership wants it this way. Leak out layoffs so the workers are on the edge. They did this yearly then 6 months and now every 3 months. It’s coperate America’s way to ensure we do not get comfortable. No wonder we have divorces, drinking and drug problems. Until Corporation understand they have a direct impact on people/ families, things are not looking good. We need strong leadership and strong families or we all pay. Oust Ginne now !

Someone else here had a great idea. Everyone should be trolling the #IBMThink and #IBMThink2018 hashtags with comments about an impending huge layoffs, so that customers at the conference start asking questions of the execs as to how they're going to support their accounts, and what countries that support is coming from, i.e. third world countries. That might thwart some deals that are being made there, let's go for it!

The RA leaks are such a double edged sword. On one hand, you get the heads up to make absolutely sure you have your resume dusted and your LinkedIn up to date in case it's you (or you know it's you). On the other hand, I feel like the anticipation and anxiety of waiting is as bad or worse than the actual news if there's enough of a delay (like now).

I would love to know who in IBM leaks layoffs. I would line up all the folks layed off in front of him/her and have them explain the hardship, stressful nights and days. What a coward, what goes around comes around !

It’s a coping mechanism we develop. It’s been hanging over our heads for so many years that we are numb. Live for today because you might be gone tomorrow.
