300 + GTS layoffs, told to look for other roles with in GBS/Security or be told your redundant on 6th april and work 3 months notice

When did this layoff occur, or is this a rumor of one to happen soon? It's not clear.
Ditto that! That’s when you find out who your real friends are. It is also interesting to see how the leprosy suddenly disappears when those other so called friends suddenly appear looking for advice when it becomes their turn for the axe. Completely agree that when the axe comes do not waste a minute applying for phantom jobs in ibm which you are blacklisted for. Focus on yourself and the future in the real world which is much better than all the stress and torture of being prisoner to ibm’s ‘sweat the asset’ strategy. The outside world is far far better.
Don't waste your time looking for alternate jobs within IBM. You're blacklisted and this smokescreen is merely IBM paying lip service to UK/EU employment law. Also, don't be surprised when most of your IBM "friends" abandon you like you've contracted leprosy. Forget IBM and your client now - use the three months to look after number one and steer you career and life towards a happier and healthier place. Take all the time you need and give your manager a taste of what it's going to be like without you. Reach out to colleagues on Linkedin etc. and get yourself registered with one or more reputable employment agencies. Don't waste time with the abysmal "Right Management" company who'll be inundated and are quite frankly useless. Most importantly, DO NOT LOSE HEART. I realise it's a well worn cliche but there is a life after IBM and the misery you've endured in this brutal and unethical company will quickly dissipate when you find your new role. I speak from personal experience and it was one of the most challenging and pivotal moments in my life. However, the losing that "Sunday night dread" feeling alone was worth the change.
