Changes in DSD??

Going to the DEX system? What does this entail? Quicker or slower? What about vendors that don't have DEX, PFS or ASN? Hours/ number of associates changing? Affects Reclamations in what way?

Keep hearing rumors that dsd is going away, has anyone else's store lost dsd or had it taken over by another area?

If you can have someone look up your schedule before management touches it you can see what the computer generates for you. At my store it does not schedule dsd past 11am until management edits it.

I heard that some dsd are only getting 4 hours a day. Is that true? I’m still getting my 40 hours a week and I’ve been doing both dsd and grocery claims by myself for about a year or so

I use to be dsd a few years ago n have to cover it sometimes now so I see they have less n less work every year. Less vendors less directs n only 1 ft n 1 person who covers days off n does claims. We use to have 2 ft plus grocery reclamation

I work DSD M-F from 4-1 and I am now responsible for checking in all vendors, fedx and ups, and doing grocery reclamations. We are a supercenter and do a heavy volume. Claims has a supervisor and 1 full time associate and 1 part-time associate that do the GM reclamations.

My store has been cutting hours so 1 ft dsd may get 35 hours at most and so is the 1 that does claims and dsd and 1 ft claims sup at my store.

Well, here it is ten months later and little has changed. We are a somewhat busy sc with a claims supervisor, two dsd associates, one grocery reclamation associate, and one GM claims associate that also covers in other areas of dsd and receiving as needed. They're all still FT with more than enough work to keep them busy. It's 2019 now. I'll be watching what changes after the YBM.

Key word, outsourcing.. claims, merchandising and wireless in electronics just to be a few. Walmart don't have to pay benefits, and gets the job half done w 3rd party employees making 8 bucks an hour.

They are calling it a Simplification, but that's a lie. The truth is that its going take more steps and take more time. it will take at least 4 full time people between claims and receiving in a SC.

I think it depends on the store and how much it makes. Our store had 2 full time DSD associates and they were told as soon as the customer first schedule starts there is only 56 hrs aloted for DSD in our store. One full time and one part time. We are a small store so we don't have reclamation. The super center in the next town over is losing one DSD/recamation person and one claims person. Their claims is also working noon to 9pm now. So changes are coming for claims, DSD, and reclamation.
