It popped up in my Google search. They have robot's in 50 Walmarts that go down each aisle and scan them to see what items are low, in the wrong spot, needs a price change or missing signs. If this is old news then sorry, I'm late to the game lol. Kinda freaky as I'm sure they will be the ones doing the actual stocking one day. And of course, what Walmart does, Sam's always follows...

At our club we already have robots.. we are the test club that deleted Optical and converted it into a VIP club room they have “robot-dolls” that will suit any members needs.
A robot going down Sam's aisles would be a waste. Walmart has tons of items on every shelf, except for a few areas we have pallets. If something's out, it should be obvious.
Not exactly new. One chain in St Louis was going to experiment with this last summer. May be new to Walmart though. If it's any consolation, a robot got fired recently from a Scottish grocery store for incompetence. Not sure what kind of package it got.
i dont know but thats not surprising ,they are talking about making the front desk and cafe automated so that it only requires a couple of associates to run it ,,i guess machines are taking over
