  1. Layoffs will be in range of 20percent

  2. April 12 will be announcement and meetings with directors and VP. It will happen then.

  3. Sr. Staff who does work of Sr. Engineer will be out.

  4. CRD will be absorbed into QCT, anyone who has not yet been moved over will be cut. No more CRD

  5. Management levels will be reduced significantly, 30 percent.

  6. Good luck there is life after Qualcomm.

A lot of wishful thinking here. I actually think it’ll be just like 2015, where they’ll just get rid of a few engineer/sr engineer in each group, and call it a day. Q will be even more top heavy than right now, but somehow life goes on

30% or about 4k in San Diego/NA will be to show the street that they are attempting to meet the numbers. SM will have to showcase that, now that he is still in the game !

Attrition will be on top of it. No more BS-ing like 2015 Mr SM/CA.

Note- they already lost 300+ mil just taking about this for the past 3-4 months and employees being super under productive.

There will be several others.

Watch for SD CE VP, Sr. Dir, and several Dirs to go. QIPL and China are going to lose a lot of VPs and Sr. Dirs. Sales will lose at least two VPs, and many Sr. Dirs because they are not meeting goals.

If you have "management" in your role or title. Get ready yo be in the bucket list and then a potential axe.

Anyone's guess would be, If not this time then be ready for the next appraisal season. Appraisals will be get high level of scrutiny and plenty will be put in performance program.

They should be trim like Mediatek , i.e 15000 total force should be enough to produce what is being produced now !

Breaking up is hard to do but it should be on the table as next step of post layoff.

1.qct takes all cash and IC related ip.

It is a global reduction, including EU, China, QIPL, and Korea. The company is top heavy, and over staffed in most countries.
