Trump/CFIUS blocked BRCM because they were worried Octane would cut R&D. Therefore Trump has to stop our SM for doing what they feared BRCM would do. Anything else is illogical and hurts national security.

OP, how can we quantify R&D job losses? We can hire an attorney to draft a letter to CFIUS.
OP here - It was Trump who advocated National Socialism when he stopped the preparations for even the creation of written terms for our end of the deal. My post points out the natural absurd progression of what Trump can further do to (or for) us.

Yeah this is nonsense. It's not a $1B R&D cut. True r&d groups (especially those to do with 5G which is what that concern was about) will likely be largely fine.
