@5kif Yeah, look up on web search on Apple's market share of PCs. How much is it?

When you lose Moore’s Law race then you become very uncompelling, looks like Apple is first, than Google and soon after Microsoft.
Then soon after that Amazon, FB and severs will go away too.
Looks like GE slow but sure implosion under BK
the only things not being downsized is fatso's gut and comp
If Apple will be making their own chips, then Intel will lose plenty of chip mfg jobs. Definitely enough to warrant layoffs in that area.
If this rumour with Apple is true it will mean a lot of jobs lost. I thought we were growing our partnership with Apple. Not loosing it. Anyone with any insights ?
Confirmed. There is a rumor of layoffs
True. Forthcoming is a major head count reduction.
In preparation Intel keep announcing and broadcasting on Circuit and externally as well that they have met their diversity goals ahead of their 2020 schedule.
Look at Intel's diversity numbers - Intel only consider Hispanics, African American and Native Indians as diversity. These are who will stay regardless of how they are performing. Women numbers at Intel only grew by .4% in last 3 years. As many women as they hired, greater numbers left Intel.
The reality is many jobs being moved to low cost geos. There’s massive hiring in low cost geos. Many in low cost geos who took VSS previously are now back again.
Though I may be wrong, but I think Intel's goal is to move a lot of jobs to India. And, one way to do that is to push for low focals, lay them off, claim that they can't find enough qualified people in the US, and either use that argument to justify H1Bs or to transfer jobs to 'more' qualified sites (India). Company's will always find a way to do what they want. Especially when any one group gains power. At Intel, that would be the Indians (example: pressure to hire and support their own).
Heard it from a vp
new mexico is getting hit..
Expect layoffs in tmg and ccg post consolidation under fatso. Too much extra head count.
Outside that ssg and psg are other potential weak points.
The next biggest cost center? The next biggest is SSG
There are always layoffs. If you are hitting SSL 3/4 you will be offered a separation package. It is probably best take the dollars and run. SSL 5 and your walked to the door. Loosing the title of Chipzilla in out 50th year. Shame on us. But there’s always ice cream !
You are confusing Intel with Qualcomm.
30k, confirmed.
After Finance and IT layoffs, take a guess who will be next for bumper layoffs.
