They're out in full force today, and oddly, they all seem to have plenty of time during work hours to hang out on a layoff site, despite having a GREAT JOB and being in Utopia.
Ever wonder why someone who's in that position would bother hanging out on a layoff site? Me too.
Always remember, this site is full to the brim of trolls who all have their own agenda, from simply trying to irritate people to disgruntled layoffs trying to get others to quit.
If things are going well for you at Verizon, that's great. But the fact is that thousands of people are let go every year. Ever notice how much smaller the total employee number is every year? I've talked with several who have been shown the door and they seem happy. It's not bad to know there are other options. You know more cuts are coming. They do every quarter.

I was RIF'd in 2016. I am only monitoring the site out of concern for my friends and coworkers that are still in IT in Vz. While I am doing OK since in my post-vz days, I know others that haven't done as well. I wouldn't wish a RIF on anyone, and I am definitely not in the "Leave Now" boat. It is an exercise in humility to hunt for a new job when leaving the old one wasn't your choice and I encourage any current Vz employee to stay and enjoy the benefits and salary that Verizon offers....for as long as you can.

I was laid off Nov 2017, and loving life. Sold my house, and bought my retirement home. LIFE is GOOD
Don't drink the kool-aid...life can be better after VZ! Most folks troll the internet, so coming to this site after a layoff is no big deal! After all it is called the Layoff. It's good to let others know that you survived the fire of VZ and landed ok...don't be shamed... continue to share...maybe it gives hope and courage to others who are tired of VZs madness...

Want to hear something really irritating? You all have to work for a living. Wether it is for Verizon or some other place.
People comment on here that now your poor because you don't work at Verizon anymore. Wrong. You are all poor if you can't quit working. Period.
Once you have enough passive income flowing to not have to work. To do whatever you want all day, every day. To troll on a layoff site all day and aggravate poor people who are worried about losing their jobs because of their car payments, house payments and kid payments and stuck in the rat race. Then you are truly wealthy.

I quit VZ too. I was doing a good deal better financially but im happier now for sure. Instead of being miserable and eating at fine dining establishments with MD crabs and booze im happy in life dining on hungry mans. Quit and enjoy the earth.
