Intel needs to spin off those losers at TMG and give their designs to TSMC. Will be much better off over time. If I were Intel I would re-examine their position on getting rid of older talent. It appears the younger talent isn't getting it done.
no accountability to TMG leaders AK and AS after they drove huge brain drain of top technologists, micro-managed minutia while ignoring fundamental trends. you cant instill a strategic mindset - no matter how many Stanford retreats they get sent to - on leaders that behave as if they are litho area managers.

The failure to maintain Apple as a customer may be the final straw for TMG. In any event, it is probably cheaper for Intel to provide it's chip fabrication designs to TSMC for build. At least that company meets it's intended schedules. Intel chip fabrication has gone down the toilet since BK assumed role of CEO, but he does have this option as an out, and uf taken, would look like a hero.

Those were the same reason Apple dropped 68000 and Motorola and then the same with PowerPC and IBM, can’t execute and you are gone. Look where IBM and Motorola is with silicon and Fab, that is TMGs future too!
