Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Is it true that only NON union employees are seeing the bump up?

I'm a tech and my pharmacist told me that if you are at a NON union store, which is 90% of them in our state, then you get NO raise. Ask to see the message. They tell the RPH not to tell their employees.

Wrong. It is a way for CVS is stop unionization from spreading. During the next contract negotiations, the Union will be asking for $15 per hour. There will not be a "me too" clause for non-union. Join the union and stick it to Merlo and his mighty mental munchkins.

You pay for representation with union dues...put them to work instead of blaming the company. Additionally lump went to sole not all at other companies

Nothing, is stopping CVS from offering a lump sum to all employees (THAT'S what other companies did). The Union has no problem with raising pay. However, you must fairly raise everyone's pay. Which means CVS can't keep a bigger percentage of the "Tax rebate" ! That being said, some Union contracts are up until a few years from now and who knows what's in the future for CVS ?!

To be fair...Cvs can’t arbitrarily change their contracted agreements with unions. I’m sure it will be negotiated at next collective bargaining.

I seen the memo and if you are in a Union Store you will NOT be getting the bump up to $11.00 because your pay is negotiated ! Just a way for CVS to get out of spending it's " Tax rebate" on it's lowly workers and add to the profits for the share holders. All the while, still keeping it's good P.R. !!

SO, unlike other companies that shared this windfall with ALL their employees (fairly) CVS only doles out pennies to a few !!

I have also heard that the pay raise is already in the system for those of you who qualify.

Your better off talking to the Store Mgr. It depends on your rate before 4/1.
