No. Most of the company was just shifted to appear more compensated Same salary, just now the ranges have most all at the top Next beudgets will tied to these ranges. So yes, large parts of Cisco just got screwed over.. That's why it wasn't announced probably
"some" is a very small number. When this plan was announced many thought it was an across the board. Nope. Going to be pretty limited.
For some the result is crazy increase but for most it looks like they're now paid at high end so we can kiss goodbye to a raise any time soon. Would be interesting to know how they've arrived at these salary ranges.
Lower pay ranges was the result for most.

Appears most except Meraki (they're special) were moved way up on the pay bands, meaning plateaued out for future raises, stock etc..
Perhaps that's why it wasn't communicated to employees.
We heard a hint about Equity for all in a meeting a couple months ago. Shortly after the tax cut plan which benefits Cisco. But that topic seems to have gone dark now. And stock buybacks may not be smart money as the market has been tanking lately. GE got killed on their buybacks at high prices - instead of innovation/employee investment. Maybe Cisco will take a lesson from that.
CR said repatriated money will not be used for employee compensation. Claimed it was illegal.
Were they HIGHER or LOWER new salary packages? With all the money flooding from overseas, would be nice to throw the peons a few shillings. Get some nice PR from that.
