Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

WFT needs to step it up with field hands pay

People in the field quitting left and right, experienced hands that are esencial for service quality.

Quit messing around, take care of your field guys because we all know what's gonna happen............. all the rejects from other companies will end up as level V DD's in WFT while current employees with the same experience are fighting for their level III.

If you want to get a raise in WFT you need to quit........ come back and you always get bump a few levels up. It doesn't matter how bad you f---ed up when you left.

With this market how are they expecting to keep hands around, with unreliable tools and low pay.........

Wait just a dern cotton pickin' minute here...so you're telling me that it isn't a privilege to work for the #4 service company in the world anymore? You're also implying that it's NOT a good thing that the hands are paid less just for the opportunity to wear the mighty stealth logo on their hard hats?

I'm just so confused now. I'll run on in and fill out a Radar card. That'll make it all better.

only issue I see with your complaint here is that your fellow field hands are not going to step up for themselves, it sounds like yourself included.

Unless you are willing to stop playing the victim, do the research and bring hard numbers on comparative pay up to your manager for discussion you will remain in the back of the bus mumbling under your breath but doing nothing. Another alternative is to step up/out and go get that other job that pays more and get away from WFT. Keep in mind, this complaint you have put out here is exactly the way they have done things since the late 90's - why do you think it would change. It's like you like being beat down and told you're no good and you complain with your back turned but take it again the very next day/week/month/year. Enjoy what your pimp gives you.
