Thread regarding L3 Technologies layoffs

I want out

I'm desperate to leave L3, but I don't want to leave if there will be major layoffs soon and I end up losing out on a severance package.

Do we have any indication on when the next round is planned for? Will there even be a larger round any time soon, or should I just pack up and leave on my own?

I’m empathetic to your predicament as I feel much the same. Not a d---beat - still doing the best job I can but really hoping for a way out. Cheer up, be patient and try to find some joy in the job while you wait. It’s bound to come. Things ain’t so great in G-town as some may think,

But you don't really need to look that far do you. Just into the nearest mirror will do. Good luck with that.

My superpower is I can spot a d---beat a mile away.

If you want to leave and are only holding your spot with the hopes of a lay-off package, you are part of the problem and not the solution. Leave so that someone who wants to work can keep their job.

My advice is get out now. It’s only going to get worse, you can find a better job that won’t be worth the wait here.

Rest assured, there will be a further draw down in the coming months. Look at the man power forecast your management has. It paints a very bleak picture.

If you can find a new job (maybe even with a raise), that is better than any severance package.
