Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

EA/Hotline

Anyone know if The hotline is staffed by EA Nike team? I have heard from a few people that went to EA they are not doing anything for the employee that came to them for help. They give a we will investigate response and then two days later close it because of “lack of evidence” and you get a mark on your record for going to EA. I am wondering if the same happens with hotline complaints. If it does don’t bother. They fired a few people and it will me business as usual in fy19.

The Hotline is useless. They only collect information and route you to a team at Nike who will treat you with disrespect unless you are management. HR/Er at NIKE is dishonest and disrespectful, their purpose is to protect management. ER folks are bullies themselves who use scare tactics to make you say what they want to hear.

I'm a former employee, impacted by the June'17 layoff. I was at Nike for 10 years, the last four in Tech and was relentlessly bullied while in Tech. I sent an email to the Matter of Respect email address and received an initial response in about two hours and they scheduled time to talk to me a few days later. The conversation lasted about 45 minutes.

I gave them very specific examples and names of people.

She indicated that she would be routing the conversation to someone else and they might call me for follow-up in two or so weeks. I took it as "don't call us, we'll call you..."

I have a some people I stay in contact there and they think MP is serious about cleaning this up. I'd like to hope that is true but the person I talked to didn't seem very sincere.

Can ex Nike folks call it? I was laid off as a result of being a whistleblower. It was raised multiple times with ER, HR and senior management within my department. I was constantly reassured that my acts were brave and just yet I was cut loose. It would be great to get my story in the hands of MM and MP. It would help those that remain. At one time I was fearful to submit the documents but now I am deprogrammed from Nike and realize that returning isn’t something desired. It will take years to clean up this mess.

Not sure if this is what you are getting at, but the Matter of Respect email line is managed by a Nike employee (as others have said, HR is not there for you). I was told that the # 888 836 2463 is managed by a 3rd party, Global Compliance. Website: https://www.alertline.com.
