Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

BAU in WBV

No store closing, no retail layoffs, no bottom 20% cut.

However

R2B had a market call and they are changing the funnels so that it’s harder to fluff SMBC Leads. Which Inturn expose those who are faking appointments and or leads.

Retail stores that are not going through GM changes are NOT enforcing quota performance plans.

Stores that ARE NORMAL are actually giving warnings for not hitting quota. Looks like the 80/90/100% quota coaching and counseling is finally going into affect.

Hit your numbers and you should be fine for the time being. It looks like they are trying to thin the heard the right way.

(For those that don’t know, 80/90/100 means you have three months. If you don’t hit 80 the first month you get a verbal, 90 the second and if you don’t you get documented, and third if you don’t hit 100 you’re on a performance plan. Don’t hit quota that next month you are fired.)

@1arw how would you know if they were or were not being written up? That's not normally broadcast.

2 stores in my REGION hit qouta last month, if they write all these people up we'll have nobody left. Why aren't managers and district managers being written up!

Op here:

bav: the call was around 1pm and it was only the R2B reps and B2B leadership. It was separate from the call with The monthly with J man. They are changing the way they are doing the 30/60/90 day leads. From what I heard they are making it so that unless the decision maker is contacted and has had at least one sit down appointment the lead is not to be added beyond 30. I may have misunderstood it but that’s how I understood it. Speak to a R2B about the way they are changing the SMBC funnel and they could explain better.

Sio: behavior based coaching is still a thing.

After the N16 layoffs they started it where you had behavior based coaching(the observations) where you have to hit your commitments X number of times relative to your Obs. They also start the PIP program. Where you are disciplined based on not hitting New or UP goals. However it HAS NOT been enforced for the past year except for trouble reps (never hit quota, let alone 80% and have bad NPs).

When is this performance expectation going into effect? Right now it’s still all “behavior based.” So that’s all going away?
