Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

This is business move for Verizon

Stores are being closed and converted to indirect, call centers are closing and being converted to home bases agents. Departments will be outsourced like the IT departments.. it is simply a good business move for verizon. Why pay salary and benefits when you can outsource for a fraction of the cost. Their are outsource companies chomping at the bit to get verizon’s Business.

Original poster is @SKMLGhN-dhfg, but this pretty much sums it up. This is good for Verizon and it will continue. It's just business, nothing personal.

If business is good you don't cut jobs, jobs are only cut when you are out of anything else to save cost. Once the stores are closed then what? Not only will the people in the stores be hone so will the support staff, people in marketing, facilities..etc. jobs are being cut because the company has been miss managed for to Long. Bad products, bad decisions and bad debt are sinking this ship.

They just closed one store in my district completely and are converting another to a reseller - announced today. They also laid off a GM and an SM from a store that has 3 SM’s.

Business works with people. People are key for any business . If company don’t own the people you can not win the goles . How the 3rd party makes it better ?

Only if there was an edit button here somewhere. I meant to say: This is GOOD business move for Verizon.
