What are current terms of severance? I think in past re-orgs it was two weeks for each of the first 10 years of employment, and one week for each year after that, nacing out at 52 weeks. Am I remembering correctly?

No duh. When you can 500 people voluntarily that'll happen.
Lots of rumoring that involuntary sev has been approved for Wave 2 IT transformation
By law (in most states) companies have to pay a severance. Just because they are not offering one doesn't mean they won't pay one. The prior round of Proximity they didn't offer anything and waited until they were closer to the QTD (and a number of people had left) and then they offered a severance.
Is severance being offered for Wave 2 over staffed group? So far, to my knowledge, nothing has been offered.
If you work at SF then just check the HR manual...search severance
Depends if it’s Voluntary or Involuntary
The deal is sweeter for Voluntary but that is usually only available to management. Which is 1 week for first 10 years and 3 weeks for addl years of service after that.
Voluntary is 1 week for the first 10 years service and 2 weeks addl years of service up to 52 weeks.
Professional/ Tech only had the choice of involuntary whether they opted in or opted out.
OP here -Definitely not a troll, but thanks for caring!!
One week up to 10 years and two weeks per year after that. Troll or not, it should be out there! It's our reality!
well, if you don't know the details, it must mean that you don't work here cuz everyone I know has it memorized...
