Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

How big was this round of layoffs at BoA?

Do we have any idea on how big last week's round of layoffs was? We know several locations were hit but we know very little about the actual numbers?

Also, what are the chances it is not done yet and it will spill over into the following week?

As if I wasn't stressed enough already...

I took the lump sum in my severance package. How long does it take? Is it deposit into my account? Or will a physical check will be mailed? I was with the bank for 16 years.

I was working at 2505 west chandler blvd.

In 2015 about 142 doc ex employees were hired and now May 3-4 2018 there are only 17 left but 2-3 of them are on leave of absence.

Looks like lots of replies on this thread were recently purged. Layoffs were significant. MyWork employees in the CFO org were given severance dates for late 2018/early 2019. Almost all of these folks have lots of tenure and are over age 40. These folks will be replaced with people in Charlotte due to “location strategy”. Basically if you’re outside of Charlotte (even if you’re in a hub) you’re at risk in the future if you work for CFO. Get out while you can. And know your rights...there is a class action suit brewing for these folks ask around

If the thought of layoffs stress u out then quit

This is how the bank runs its business has been this way for the more than a decade I have been here and never changes regardless of profitability, losses, immigration policy, interest rates, and even with a tax windfall which in theory was going to create lots of US jobs

There is no employee loyalty noone is safe from the axe

Accept it do yourself a favor
