@-1kqy "So whether it is really sustainable will be tested when in the longer term."

Yes, it's sustainable. People made the same argument about T-Mobile's business model and...well, look at them now.

Comcast has more $$ than God, and we own 1/3 of all broadcast networks on any given platform. We're making a cash offer right now for Fox's assets. Cash, not bs stock.

Xfinity Mobile (aka VZW) and our rock-bottom pricing for it keeps our customers sticky to our overall ecosystem. Call Comcast Kabletown or the Evil Empire or whatever you want to call it. Bottom line is they take care of their folks and has been consistently voted one of the top places to work.

Glad I made the jump and if you're smart (before VZ implodes completely) you should too.

Best of luck to all, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

16 years here at Vzw and it isn’t what it used to be.... they USED to treat us employees good and make us happy and do things for us.... they aren’t a family company anymore nor do they care about us. Upper management is worthless and people here get paid to do nothing but B--ch at you and try to write you up to get you out. I hate going to work every day. I wouldn’t mind a severance and leave to go elsewhere and be happy finally

But also a bit of a non-story: As it says in the article:

"It's logical that most Xfinity Mobile customers came from Verizon, as it’s the largest wireless provider in the country, so the chances are inherently higher any Xfinity Mobile customer is coming from Verizon" and it is really a very small number.

and

"Comcast reported a loss of $189 million earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in Q1 tied to Xfinity Mobile, specifically the cost to grow its subscriber base an initial operating costs, and CFO Michael Cavanagh said during the Q1 2018 call that he expects it to post a loss of a few hundred million more from Mobile."

So whether it is really sustainable will be tested when in the longer term.

Verizon will never understand this, they just keep the old " the beatings will continue until morale improves" sign posted in the back. They think micro managing and threats will get things done. 3 more weeks and I'm out!

Happy employees do better and more work! Verizon employees are not happy because Verizon loves to make a miserable work environment
