This would be a great job if there were no customers to deal with.

The elderly at my location do not want to learn how to do things. Rarely want to pay for anything and just want you to "set it up". Every morning with a brown box wanting to take a seat to waste your time..

@1zzy - I agree. Very disrespectful.

Customers will only display the level of stupidity that the employees will tolerate. So if you have a lot of ‘stupid’ customers, go take a look in the mirror.

Thats why Verizon is closing stores, big drain of money. No need for them.

I agree with @1zzy. Many on this board seem to be complaining that the only people that come in are old people. So, if you got your apparent wish, and they too didn’t come in anymore, where does that leave you?

Ok, from what I have read it seems you all do not have any respect for the elderly. Not nice. Just remember your parents will be in the age bracket you all are talking about.

In our NYM store it's not necessarily "people of a certain age" we get the entitled lazy customer who wants everything done for them with the attitude! Some will actually go online when you're giving a presentation and shop for accessories with the attitude I can get it cheaper, I overcome this by showing them our accessories bundle which is usually less expensive than even Amazon This perception we overcome sometimes successfully ,some not. The job used to be a lot of fun, today it's a job were we have to communicate to store customers what we don't do , while in the past we did everything, VZW do not give us credit of telling this message to our customers base, while in the past we almost went home with them to make sure they're happy! That's the problem No communication While Sammy Slammer is micromanaging you why the customers didn't walk out with a hum.

It will always be older people that come inside phone stores these days. But to answer your question my location is in a vibrant part of town so it’s mixed, young and old. They both ask dumb questions.
