Most of our OSP engineers have been laid off with riffs. The remaining ones wish they had been as well. The areas they are now individually responsible for are enormous. It is impossible for them to properly cover the engineering needs by themselves. Some of the work has been contracted out with the expected result of ineptly engineered jobs , but hey VZ saved some money that's what it is all about.

OP, did you bother to go to verizon's website and go under careers to see what jobs are actually open and what benefits there are? HIgh School senior should finish high school then college before thinking you will get a 97k job with excellent benefits.
employees DO NOT get free service. it's discounted. Go work elsewhere. This company blows.
I asked about free service as it can equate to extra income dumb--s, saving a few thousand a year
go work for the cable company. they offer free service to employees but the pay is crap. is that dope?
