Will Qualcomm give severance to employees if your group (BU) gets sold to another company?
Please answer if you know as my group will get sold to Jabil.

That was years back. Q was a different place.
Our group was outsourced/sold to Flour in 2015 and everybody received a package. Kind of the same as being sold as you are essentially terminated from Qualcomm and offered a job by new company. I was also sold to Kyocera years back and received a package when leaving and was offered a job by Kyocera.
Jabil will do the layoffs. So its up to them what they do. Q just pushed the problem over the fence.
No package. Jabil will lay off employees, not Qualcomm. Some may be offered positions elsewhere in QC to keep talent.
When your group is sold .. it means you are not laid off then you wont get package
In essence you won't get it unless laid off
