Having worked in three orgs at Nike since 2004 I by no means believe this is systemic. Oregonlive quoted that "...work has grownd to a halt." That's total BS. Perhaps over in the marketing org but I'm not seeing it (anecdotally). The biggest challenge many of us are faced with is how ambiguously the lines have been drawn. A few of us have surmised that people are being exited for 3 primary reasons: bullying, s-xual harassment, or the TE club of nepotism. Bullying has a cultural and generational filter that I'm unsure we've gotten to the bottom of. I don't believe the culture is broken, but I have no doubt things are f'd up in pockets. And whats happening right now is a fantastic thing - provided the pendulum doesn't swing to Salem witch trial levels. That's yet to be seen. My 2 cents. And no, I'm not a kool-aid drinker.

Yup - saw "grownd" when I hit send last night! somehow was unable to edit. my points stand.
Well said and I agree OP.
Seems to me and a lot of other people I talked to is that MP and the LT were too lazy or busy building their personal fortunes to give a f- about anyone but themselves.
It's called 'f--- you money'.
And they used it to their advantage to...f with whomever they want, say whatever they want, fire whomever they want, do whatever they want.
The maxims are for "you". Not all of us.
We all got played and now paying for it with this f-ed up culture...the culture was created like this on purpose...it's just greed.
Me and you and my fellow black badge brothers and sisters just have to be wiling to accept it for what it is...
Oregonlive should hire better proofreaders. They actually published "grownd"? There is a job opportunity.
One more thing - across American industry, this is only the beginning. Nike isn't unique. Probably more progressive than most capitalist peers and that's why it's happening there first.
