Just came across this and it's very troubling, I can't even believe @2kns threating someone on an onamous website that " I can find you" even if it is true the posting is on their own time not on Verizon's? Obviously you are in high management in NYM and it made you mad However, you don't know if the poster even works for the company. Very troubling!

Hey 1yxt- Hi HR or Management person if you did your job you would know what location, the way I hear it its most of them ,anyway. That's what happens when you promote slammers into Store Management positions and the candidates that have experience and management background are passed over with usually a negative experience during the interview process, and yes the slammers are giving the interview meeting LoL.

NYM store here- The 3 do nothing's still at store one hiding in back , the other went to eat dinner with her kids ( a 2 hour dinner break , I'm a manager and can do anything) , the other on the floor standing like he's hanging out on the corner. the store GM having a 4 day weekend.So NYM New Jersey still the same. No changes.

Just visited a corporate store in Mountain region (North Central Market). SM Layoffs confirmed across mountain. Sounds like the top producing stores in the region are getting to keep 3 sm and the rest were reduced to 2 sm. Wonder how long they will let those top store keep 3.
True Story. Two SMs in my location were let go in GLC. Apparently they will be moving other SMs in the district around in order to fill those positions.
It’s all over; just a scattering if layoffs. Hardly a bloodbath. Probably nothing else going to happen.
Basically if you were not scheduled to go to Wireless Leadership Academy in SCM, it was probably because you were getting laid off today. And the ones chosen were not chosen because of tenure; the DMs and GMs are the influencers, don't let them tell you otherwise. There are SMs in my district who had more tenure and experience that got let go instead of the newer, cheaper SMs. I was told that if your store is positive YoY than you were more than likely safe this round, but be aware of changes coming to the organization. Keep your resumes updated.
Just got laid off. On payroll until June 15th, 2 week severance per year.
We just went from 3 SM’s down to 2...loss the shortest tenured. Paid until June 15th, told to apply for other positions.

Northeast here. Small store axed an SM leaving it with just one GM and one SM. Don’t think you’re safe if you only have 2.

Not all of this is accurate. I have 4 SMs and all are fine. The proof is in the pudding... if you produce you are fine. This is a for profit organization and we have to do what’s best to stay healthy and I agree it’s unfortunate but frankly there are a lot of individuals in those roles who don’t contribute and need to do something else they are more passionate about
Meetings/Calls Yesterday and this morning. At least in the PACM there will be cuts in SM’s. This is absolutely confirmed.

It appears to the uninitiated that everyone in wireless has a title that ends with Manager. Is there actually anyone in wireless that provides a service/customer function. It seems like there are way too many chiefs and no Indians.
We have 3 do nothing's in our store, all 3 are ineffective and have been in the job for many years with no future of becoming a Store GM.They hang out for 8 Hours play pretend store, how will Management pick one of the 3 to go, by Lottery?

Heard they were getting the EISP that was confirmed, on this very board, to have happen in April. They were just saving it for this round of wireless cuts. Upper management felt for the beating that wireless was taking on this board about posting on the Verizon board instead of the Verizon Wireless board. All glory to Lowell.

I’m an SM in the SCM and can tell you, the GM met with DM today. Not all GM’s met with DM today so it seems it’s not every location.

I heard the SMs are talking to the RMs, then to QMs, and meeting with the TMs. The LMNOPs will be gone by tomorrow in the AM :)
Are the DMs letting the GMs know tomorrow? I can tell u GMs in my district don't know. And we have tons of 3+ sm stores.

DMs had a meeting Tuesday and met with GMs today. We should find out tomorrow.
