Fios call center, install techs and Retail stores will be gutted.

I would assume that the groups who havent been hit yet this month (May) are vulnerable.
Anyone that’s Landline and a post-2003 hire can be laid off. It would also be very easy to shutter FIOS Call Centers in places like Hampton, VA if the company so chose to.

Ummm... not to burst any bubbles, but... 16,000 got laid off on November, 2017, including me -- and I wasn't in the union and didn't work for wireless. In fact "gutting" is a good description of what they did to our department. (None of us were wireless or union.)

Now if you want to talk about wireless, then that is another issue, they chose not to unionize a long time ago and now they are paying for their stupidity in thinking that they would never be subjected to a layoff.
The layoffs are continuous but the 17th could be a big one. Talk to assistant managers in wireless stores and see what happened to them today. Another major chop coming in May/June...its just business
Verizon is just cold blooded with the way they layoff their employees. No regard for their families, just a kick in the a-- out the door and here’s a few weeks of paid...Next!

Union people can not be “gutted” without Verizon first declaring a surplus....then they must offer an eisp to the affected titles....so the fios call centers and install techs are protected. How about using this board for what it is meant for and try posting rumors that have merit.
