They are going to give more money to staff ex: sifts, cashiers. Etc... than they will cut managers pay! Walgreens just did it and so will cvs . Think about it FS managers are the only ones that have not made any changes to . Managers Are Next!!!!

Conf call this Friday on Tech wages and restructuring

Remember when ASM's went hourly? they were paid 40hrs hourly + 5hrs time and 1/2. Then, they eventually got rid of most of that position for lower paid SMITs. If SM goes hourly, might be good, might be bad... but definitely setting up future for a different looking manager position down the road, I think. But wait...We magically become "happy" with whatever news comes this week... then the engagement survey? Hmmm. But what's next, then? They may do nothing concerning SMs on this call other than a title change, so... we'll see.

Seriously? Why have a conf call about giving techs raises? I will be pissed to waste 30 min on that cause then in 2 weeks you know magically hours will be cut to pay for the raises.

It was piloted and there are many stores that run off of it now. Just amazing?!?!? Ugh. Literally in the stores by yourself.

Got visit from reg. Director 2 weeks ago he did say there was talk of maybe taking minimum hour stores back to 182 hours.

We will see I guess.....

So now they have to spend thousands of dollars to rename all the plaques outside the buildings with the managers name, plus name tags. They should use dry erase signs with all the manager churn. Just remember they only do things to save money in the long run...perhaps managers going hourly? Thoughs?

Our conference call is scheduled for Friday May 18th. Let the week of speculation begin...

When is this conference call intended to take place? Is it about the bump in pay for long term shifts as mentioned in comments below? Is it also going to relate to SM title change, or even potential consolidation of that role or layoffs/ pay reduction for SM? Will there really be any change to SM's? Who here can honestly say? It would be nice to know a little more, so we can prepare a future path... the smoke and mirrors is frustrating. But that's why it's just rumors for now. I won't count my eggs before they hatch,

But something tells me there's probably a little truth in all of those possibilities,

But i really don't know.

I've read many similar rumors over the past 6 months. Timelines for these rumors would be great, if anyone heard any more info... i think we're all tired of waiting for the inevitable, and honestly, the company has degraded year after year in decisions that do not work... and making our jobs extremely tough. Hard to be agile during these times. We're actually people, you know, with families and careers to consider.

I might add, I participated in FFL throughout all of last year, and was one a very few people in my state, asked to continue on the next step andinterview for EL in January to continue my growth and development...only to have zero input, no communication about the current state of things, nor any competencies and development input since November - great job leaving us in the dust during this time of "restructuring". Company going 180 degree direction apparently. Very engaging and inspiring...

Will high paid SMs be laid off for lower paid ‘store leaders?’

Instead of store managers we will be store leaders, makes sense since we don't manage anyone or anything anyways.

If I'm hearing correctly it's about a bump up for all the shifts that have been here for years that are upset that everybody just got raised up to 11
