Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Check this out!!

Have you noticed an increase of external new hires for leadership roles mainly ASTL’s and TL’s? That should tell ya everything . With this level of stress a lot of TL’s and ATL’ are leaving to different jobs or they’re firing them for not following the simple left justified procedure or because they forgot to green dot a never out. WFM is cleaning the house and Amazon is bringing the conventional.

If there is nobody that wants to move up then they have to hire from outside. I am surounded by people who don't want to make the sacrifice it takes to move up.

Yes, I miss prodigy. It was written by a tm. The password was the name of his dog. What was that name again? I forget but it was funny name for a dog.

As a TL if Kronos makes a mistake and schedules someone outside of their availability I try to fix it and def don’t penalize tms for it. That’s some b---s--- right there for others that do.

Kronos is the biggest piece of sh-- ever. The past three companies I worked for all used Kronos. It only sometimes shows the schedule, and even then sometimes will show an older draft of it, resulting in the team member being confused and coming in at the wrong time. Yet the TL still penalizes them for this because of WF's retarded attendance policy and that "we shouldn't trust Kronos to begin with."

Ah yes, the technological marvel that is Kronos. I remember going to the initial training as TL and regional lackeys telling us how amazing it will be - “it will cut down your admin time”, “it knows exactly what coverage you need and when” and “we will roll it out for all other teams in 6 months”. Fast forward to the present where I spend 6 hours out of an admin shift tweaking the schedule it gives me because it thinks we can a run a business with 5 total cashiers a day. And when it does give a decent schedule I can almost always count on the desktop app being so fickle when it comes to things like saving changes and adding shifts. Not to mention the random issues we’ve caught such as scheduling people out of their availability. And the timeline for this rollout happening for other teams has been pushed back to the moon because there are so many kinks and “Kronos doesn’t know what this job description really does so you still have to input their shifts manually”. I’d much rather be using prodigy. At least that gives a realistic snapshot of your labor to work with.

How does Kronos work when 50% or more of your team is part time?

But will Kronos understand that certain TM get all the morning shifts because they get preferential treatment even though all TM are supposed to have varied shifts. Maybe amazon will bring this Sh-- show into the current decade.

Kronos Scheduling is still in it's 2-year long testing phase. It will take two more years until CS has worked out all the bugs. In the meantime, we can use "Prodigy" the wonder-spreadsheet with marcos. Rumor has it that it was invented by a stock person in 1995.

No systems have improved in years remember auto scheduling coming to all teams it never made it out of CS even. The CS TL spent more time changing the auto generated schedule then they did just making one from scratch.

They should clean out exec vp positions, how much do we pay CIO? Since 2015, what technology has actually worked? Please, list them all right here. Now Business Insider is reporting the switch from rewards to Prime has been delayed, yet again, because the Whole Foods system is full of issues and glitches!!! Go Jason!

Finally. I'm glad we are Bringing outside people. The ones I've seen so far know how a grocery store works. Let's just hope OTS does not burn them out with the stupid things we have to do.

Funny, in my store most of the new leadership is transfers from other regions. And the march to mainstream has been ongoing for years.
