Thread regarding Sears layoffs

It's been three weeks since our PA system went on the fritz

It is randomly letting out a sharp, high pitched squeal! It lasts for about 10 minutes at a time, sometimes longer. Once in a while, the music comes in garbled from time to time and then the squeal happens. Then it sounds like someone is eating potato chips while holding a megaphone to their mouth. Pages don't always come through. When they do, it is barely audible.

It's annoying and everyone is getting headaches! I just came home with one!

The QMT came to the store to fix it a couple of days after it started happening but didn't fix it. So, we're stuck with it. I don't know why he didn't just cut the power to the damned system? The customers are complaining about it too! We even got a feedback survey about it if that's what it takes to get it fixed.

When we signed up for this job, I thought that we only agreed on non-functioning AC? /sarcasm

Typical sears -- nothing ever gets fixed -- leaks, plumbing problems, computer system problems, electrical problems abound ---

guess it's hard to fix problems with equipment when they can't even fix what's wrong with the company -- aka its "leadership" ---

You can place a help ticket and someone will come out to fix it. Happened at my Kmart because the amplifier was over heating. Now if they could only do something about the god awful music!
