I've heard the big announcement, but I've never received even one document that I have this. and where is it?

You will also get RSU increases with Dividends so it will grow even if the stock price decreases. You can search RSU in about you.
What is the objective of tax cut? To generates jobs.. but what is happening in Verizon?
Take it to the bank......you won't see anywhere near the 2,500 dollar value Verizon sold to the media. You will be lucky if you see a few hundred dollars. The very reason Verizon attached years before you see anything.
AT&T's payout was C-A-S-H in your pocket, not a promise of what worthless stock grants will be in two years. I will take the CASH any day.
Wow. There is a lot of optimism in the posts on this thread. Does anyone remember the "founder's grant" of 2000? We were given 100 stock options that had to be exercised within 10 years. The value at the time of the grant was about $43 a share. The stock price never went much over $45 a share during that entire 10 year period. Verizon doesn't care about the price of the stock. It only cares about how much dividends it pays. I wouldn't be surprised to see it lose half it's value in the next 2 years.
@1rjz: I understand your sentiment but the stock would have to fall to less than $10 range for that to happen. It will be at least in the $40 range, possibly $50. Payout should be somewhere between $2000-3000.
Bottom line......Verizon not only matched AT&T and the other companies in the Tax Reform Windfall for the American Worker.....but they beat them in the Illusion propaganda game with the dangling carrot of potentially nothing.
My prediction is you will see something in the amount...after gift taxes of course....around 326 dollars. If you are very very lucky that is and you haven't forgotten about it by then.
Way to go VZ......you win again in deceiving your employees.....I wish you were as good at your own business as you are at finding ways to screw the employee.
If you are Rif'd during the first year, you don't get the second years stock option payout.
@1hvv you should re-read any documents about the RSUs, as they are paid out if one were to be RIF'd
May want to look at the paperwork VZ sent, I did not see that a person would receive the payout if they were Rif'd.
Yes, you get whatever 25 shares are worth in January 2019 and then whatever 25 shares are worth in January 2020. At the present price you would get $1150 in Jan 2019 and $1150 in Jan 2020. It could be more or less, it depends on what the stock price is at that time. The other post is not correct, you will receive the money even if you get laid off. You will not receive it if you are fired or resign.
If your talking about the $2500 we received as a result of the tax reform - This is given to us in the form of VZW stock which is not vested. So you are correct their is no guarantee that you will receive it - It looked & sounded good to the public but VZW knew they were laying off most of it's employees so they would only end up paying a fraction of that initial payout.
We get paid that share thing in January 2019 then again in 2020?
Well, you get 50 equivalent shares of Verizon stock that I believe vest in January 2019 and January 2020. So in each January you get a check for whatever 25 shares of Verizon are selling for at that time. Currently it would total about $2300. If the stock price is more at that time you will get more, if it's less you will get less.
Correct....over my head. So Please, someone, explain because what I see then is there is absolutely zero guarantee that this money will "vest" into anything over 2 years?
By the way, the email information seemed very different from the Press released email statement.
Are you talking about the 50 equivalent shares that vest over a 2 year period? If so, I guess the email information you received was over your head.
