If I give notice, do I get paid my remaining vacation day?

In any other job I would always give two weeks notice.

But my group is so toxic, so unprofessional, so unscrupulous, that I think once i hand in my notice, they will walk to me to the door just to embarrass me, or some other similar thing.

Also, if I give notice, do I get paid out my remaining vacation days if I did not use them, or do I just lose them.

I know this is about layoffs but I don't know where else to post!!

Can't wait to get out of this horrible place. Sorry for those who are facing RIFs that would rather stay. I know how it is!

Verizon does give you your vacation that you have accrued. They will not however pay out any personal time! Also make sure your notice is in writing so that if they walk you out that you will be paid the two weeks

Can vary by state, but to my knowledge Verizon pays it out. Use up your personal days and spending accounts.

Use up your personal days and then give your 2 weeks notice. At that point if they show you the door you still get paid for the 2 weeks + accrued vacation time.

Make sure you use up any sick and personal days then give your notice. It took about a month after my last day for vacation pay to hit my bank and not long after that I received my profit sharing and “absence bonus”. IBEW if it makes a difference

in CA accrued vacation is earned compensation. Company has to to pay your unused vacation hours.

They pay out any accrued vacation. Vacation time does not extend out benefits. They won't pay any personal or sick time.

Of course they don't give you your vacation days. What company does that? Take your vacation first.
