What you are hearing is probably on the underwriting side. There is a link on the home page about P&C Modernization and it has to do with service work, not claims. There is a big push in claims to steer customers to self-serve options like OCS but until they make it more user-friendly and functional customers will still call.

Our systems team could not complete it by 2030-which by then will make it obsolete. No worries. We are th Amish of the systems world.Peace out-need to return to my COBOL programming.

40%, too ambitious for SF to manage effectively. Trust me, after 40 years working there the current mindset and management simply can't handle it. No m matter how it's spun.

2020 is more ambitious than 40 percent of claim handling. It will be another major reorg across all areas Similar to what is going on now. These reorgs will continue basically mom stop. Sf sees no value in employees they are disposable.

That's funny. Given the way ET has been destroyed not once, but twice now, by the current executives. Nothing that requires an ET project is going to get done for many years. They've basically ruined systems.

No idea what % currently is automated or what the goal is. 40% seems ambitious. I work in IT and can confirm that there is a push to move as much of our work away from phone channels as possible — either allow AI/bots to handle lower complexity inquiries or get people using online chat/SMS to complete smaller tasks. This allows claim handlers to focus more on the task work and not get hung up on the phones. Really, if you are a claim handler, this should lift you up and assist you in your work. It may reduce need for handlers in the long term but it will be good for anyone remaining in the role.

This really sound like a question for ET people to answer. Are there any projects in the pipe line to automate claims handling? If not, what would be the SF timeframe to complete something of this size? If there are projects on-going, is 2020 feasible to automate 40% of Auto claims?
