Bogus SGA advancement to circumvent severance payout

Our SGA was allowed to panel for a Store Support TL position at our location despite having never managed or even worked on a team in her entire time at WFM. They reposted for that position, then gave her an ATL job without having an additional panel. Is this happening at any other stores?

I agree, it has always been this way. If there are people they want to keep, or promote, a place is found for them. The hard part for me has always been “how do I get that job, or just a better job?”

The specialty stl at my store could barely handle OTS and cried about failing it. Two months later she got marketing tl. Now she’s drowning in her position and blaming all her team members for her mistakes.

Go figure. These positions are easily gained. Not by hard work but by kissing a lot of a--.

SW Region is the same. A panel is organized a week before the interviews and it’s pretty much determined by back room and hallway conversations ,out of team member view, who will get the job. The interview is just a formality. Most of the time it has nothing to do with qualifications it’s who the STL or TL says should have the job for whatever reason having nothing to do with the actual job. It’s all back room manipulation and store politics.

And that is why WFM is a joke and had to sell. It truly shows in how it is being run from the top on down. Hopefully this sh-- is going to end soon!!

Predetermined interviews is how WF has always done it.Why waste everyone’s time with a secondary job interview they new they where going to give them the job anyway. Personal favorite was the eco czar posting in the NA guy emailed everyone saying he was going to do a bunch of stuff before any announcement about the position was even made. Then followed up with an email saying it would be posted and he would have to interview.
