The ship is sinking

Employees with 10+ years experience are quitting left and right. Somehow this is not a wake up call to management. The employee survey was so bad in my department they decided not to talk about it like it never happened. The ship is sinking.

Exactly this! So many people are leaving, and it is mostly people who actually know how to do their job and are an asset to JPMorgan. And nobody is even attempting to rectify this. I guess they'll have to very soon, when all the good people are gone. But by then, it'll be to late...

Most manager are C-appy I had 4 last year, LoL, Culture is really awful here for tech. Too much paper work/process required to get things moving in general. Everyone has specific roles/responsibility, so working with different teams could take forever to get things done. For example, like changing a small icon on UI page, it would take weeks to get done. You create a ticket to UI > Design > BA > DEV. You also work with outdated tech stack (Who still use ES5, JDK5, or J2EE?), it is way behind tech companies.

There is not much interesting problems to solve, since you can't do much unless you are a senior management. There are so many mediocre developers, or stackoverflow devs who only know copy/paste source code from stackoverflow. Code quality is pretty bad and the standard is pretty low.

If you are looking to get a job with easy pay and don't do much, this is a perfect company to work for. However, as a software engineer this would be a worst company to work for. Just go to a tech company, you will have more fun and work with interesting problems and a good tech stack,

Certain groups of people? Please explain this stupidity.! You are an example of a keyboard tough guy, this comment you just foolishly typed needs to be heard verbally from your mouth. This would also allow us to see the owner of the ugly face and soul that goes with this ignorant comment. There are crap managers of every demographic just like there are some excellent ones of every demographic. Proper training and morals is what is needed to help these managers improve not your blatant racism and s-xism. Your issue seems to be an underlying factor pertaining to something else.

Courage is key for setting healthy boundaries in toxic JP Morgan, and finding your way out of one. Do all that you can to surround yourself with people who lift you up instead of drag you down. and believe me I do know this company culture, lots of deception goes around, lots managers should have no business supervising people, Take back your power now, like actually taking a proper lunch break away from your desk for 10 minutes or refusing to answer emails. Re-establish the agency you have over your own life, and start looking for a job in a company that values you and your contributions.

Here no one had mention these results, i believe tbat one of the biggest reasons that employee engagement survey scores declined is that most know that our bosses ask for our opinion and then when you give it, they seemingly ignore it completely.

That’s a very fast path to reducing whatever goodwill had been built up previously, especially after the April ayoff, and before the next wave of automation layoffs,

this is exactly what happens when you promote certain groups of people based on diversity quotas. That first level of management is some of the worst in the industry and chasr does this to play the pc game. No grown a-- person is going to deal with some immigrant or b--ch on wheels micromanager when unemployment is at 3%.
