Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

No more layoffs?

We keep seeing these dates thrown around as possible layoffs dates, but every one of them comes and goes with no layoffs in sight. The latest is June 21, but now I'm pretty sure that one will also turn out to be bust (not complaining about that!)

Could it be that we are actually done with layoffs for at least a while and we are stressing over nothing?

What about those recommendations from the consultants. Didnt Bill say we would hear all about them once they left?

There were some posts earlier with some comparative metrics to other peers ... we are definitly still over staffed in Houston .. also you seldom hire consultants and have them not institute some plan for efficiency

I bet BW looks at this site and laughs about the fact that he is stringing us along each Thursday.

Doubt it! I'm just stating facts...I work in Houston and my work load had definitely slowed down the past couple of months. I feel my dept is still over staffed and mgmt had brought on board too many contractors! Why??? The problem is that mgmt has always hired too many folks and never strategically figured out how to make a reasonable number of employees work! That's why we are in this mess...employees have gotten lazy and do the bare minimum and make it seem like they are overwhelmed with work, it's just lies. I bet PWC figured that out fast! So quit being delusional and realize there are still too many folks in Houston...and seriously...this massive bldg. is no longer needed, we aren't on the same level of ExxonMobil...true facts! SWN needs to downsize considerably still.
