Are the Macy's stores who are not getting remodeled for Backstage next to close in 2019?

Wondering if you checked how stores did with backstage and those that didn't. Since I retired last year I can't see store sales vs plan. In 2018 in my market backstage drove sales in the main store. In fact the stores with backstage were the only stores that made plan in the main store. The main store sales doesn't include the backstage sales. They're tracked separately.

How a store fails that has multiple free two hour commercials every December in The Miracle on 34th Street, I don't get. They don't even have Santas anymore. Don't they realize that Macy's needs to be a destination for things that you CAN'T do online?
Macys backstage stores should have never been created.
It's taking away sales from the regular Macys stores some of which now are gonna close because of under performance.
We have last act which is enough.
Then we send stuff back to vendors after a season or we penny out items and sell to 99 cent stores tj maxx.
There was no need to create backstage.
Which has it's own employees so your paying extra people
Yes. At this point the top 100-150 Macy's(not sure about Bloomingdales) that are getting renovation are safe. If you are at least a high B store in a major population area or in a tourist mall, you will be around for awhile. I will add though, for God's sake get the Marshal Field's green tile out of the lower level public men's bathroom.
Don't panic.....Backstage is still evolving, and will continue to expand into more doors over the next 3 years. Post regarding store closures if not added next year is incorrect.
Then staff those damn stores or close them.
If you are getting backstage, you will be staying open indefinitely. If you are not getting backstage, and are not on the list to receive it next year, look out.
The company is only investing projects in stores they plan to keep open, like backstage, open sell shoes, and at your service. If you were not getting any of those, your stores days are numbered
No, they are creating growth doors. More are coming next year. I believe the eventually all stores will be structured this way, if it is a success.
