Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

10nm revealed, nothing new LOL

“ I am blown away by the amount of features in Intel 10nm process. But I am also amazed that how did they not consider this too risky. Some cooler heads ought to have prevailed. Intel went too aggressive on both density and performance. They ought to have relaxed on density while targetting leadership performance.“

“If anything done there does not work, who cares?”

Where was the leadership, MIA, have leadership but no viable product three years and counting

7 days a week two times a day with Ludicrous velocity is simply stupidity on top of already stupidity. Do feel for the many talented people slaving away all on such a failure not realizing how fruitless and wasted all that effort is with doom coming.

Looks like good judgement about features and pitch was missed at some senior meeting.

Someone will dearly pay for this for sure

Are you suggesting having TMG leadership that ignores their top technologists, oversees brain drain, fires experienced engineers, while bringing zero strategic acumen eventually creates a problem?

Too consider this program as anything but a stupendous failure would be dishonest. If the product were introduced in the original schedule, Intel would have earned billions more. One can say they have lost billions based on the slip. Utter failure. It's not recoverable.

The chickens have come home to roost. Something tells me there will be big announcements and shake-ups within a year.
