Any idea what happens to future RSU units allotted to an employee when he/she is RIF'd

If you mean RSUs that are not yet vested, then you lose them if laid off
I was given 90 days to exercise my RSUs after my last day (Feb RIF). Any shares that hadn't matured by that date were lost.
