Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Layoffs now or later?

What are your thoughts folks? Will we see massive layoffs now before a new CEO is announced so that the new CEO is not the bad guy? Or will we see a hiring freeze until the new CEO is announced to see what direction he/she will go with regards to strategic direction and THEN have massive layoffs.

@xna: Not a loser. Was offered VSP in 2016 and almost took it, but HR accidentally let some info out they shouldn't have so I stayed. Over two years and $200K+ in income later, I'm in a great place for the hatchet to fall...feel free to do ACT II (or is it ACT III? We lost a lot of good people in 2015, was that the "practice" ACT?) and phuque Intel up even more. If I'm offered a package I'm so gone I'll leave skidmarks...whatever the package is, I'm ready...

@xna - I don't think the packages will be more than 2 or 3 months pay. All you losers that didn't take the 2016 VSP/ERP are SOL.

Whatever the case, Intel needs it. They need to first disband the H1B plan and then make all those cuts. BK was not in that role to improve the company, or take care of the employees. He was in it strictly for himself. His violation of policy shows that he thought he was above the company rules.

Bob the Beancounter is the designated hatchet man and he has already been grinding the axe since last year. This is his chance to swing it!! Believe me, the guy is already salivating at the thought of it. I wouldn't be surprised at all if an announcement is made within a month or even less.
