I was let go in the last RIF. I’m so much better off now. Working for Humana had a huge negative impact on my life both physically and emotionally. The constant stress was unbearable. I got a new and better job within 2 weeks of the layoff. The stress isn’t near what Humana puts its employees through. I actually look forward to working now.

WAH with United.
Any ideas for jobs similar or traveling ones hiring??!
Same happened to me below poster and I was devastated too. I was able to come back but now wonder if that was what I should have done. It felt right at the time and I was so happy but now I just don't know. My hope is for everyone to find their happiness wherever it may be. We all deserve that.
I was also in the last layoff. I was devastated only because I put in so many years and felt like I lost family. I used the resources Humana provided- right management and got another job that I love. I will not say where only to keep anonyminity, but the grass is greener on the other side if you look. I was a HCM-RN. One tip is network and use LinkedIn. I connected with a lot of HR reps from different companies and feel so lucky for what I have.
Below poster, were you a CM with one of your initials being an L-M-or N? If it’s you, you’re missed ! Trying to keep your confidentiality, if it’s you, glad you landed somewhere better. From, your favorite HCM-SS
I was laid off in February after almost 8 years with Humana. I got a great new WAH RN Case Manager job within 2 weeks at $10,000 more than what Himana was paying. It’s for a smaller national company that is not in the insurance business but subcontracts to Humana to provide specialized services. They are an awesome company like Humana used to be when I started with them. I never thought I would say this, but thank you Humana for laying me off!
....to the poster who doesn't believe I started two biz's and I'm still checking on Humana-- curiosity-- concern for how others are faring, wondering the future for this insane company I used to work for.... that is why. You can believe what is typed here or not, your choice. Whatever your life looks like tomorrow or in five years-- enjoy it. I can enjoy, be grateful and check on the former....and actually exist.
I was laid off in November and it has been wonderful! I have exercised regularly and been able to regroup, I will be starting work on Monday and I’m not quite ready to go back to reality but I’m excited!
Humana and HAH will always be. Humana just put 8 million into a new gym in Ky now! This layoff stuff is nuts , it happened but it’s done, the company stabilized . All companies have layoffs and reorganize to be strong. Get back to work and be happy or move on until you are.
@TMXkIRQ-xra - And they start great new businesses! Poster below started 2! LOL
I'm sorry, I just don't believe these posters. If their new life, job, business is so fabulous why are they hanging around here still?
I was in the November rif and started two businesses. No 'claims'. Do's.
Hoping more folks wake up and get out-- if H does end.... it won't be pretty, and certainly not encouraging or supportive to whoever remains unless it is the higher ups w/ money in the bank.
Thrilled for the original poster that you have moved on as well-- congratulations!
Congratulations on your new job and your new life.
We get these “glad I’m out” posts every so often and people claiming they have moved on and found great new jobs, but not one person says where they have moved on to lol
Where are you working and are they hiring RN’s?
