No I'm in love with Erin. A redheaded Irish lass with alabaster skin, a few freckles and beautiful green eyes. I met her when I had to fight for her honor when a couple of inbred red necks insulted her. I learned this from all the Jack Reacher books. Strike first, strike hard and don't give your opponents the opportunity to strike first.

B of A sure isn't listening to their customers. Common sense would allow for an "Off" function for Arica.

I think it can be a hit with a few enhancements.

  • turn her into a gold digger
  • offer a favor in exchange for an action

(ie: a $100 deposit will give you a coupon which you can use to redeem for a 5 sec blow at the nearest ATM. You may have to update ATM capabilities)

  • provide summary of how much cash you have saved compared to the competition

(ie: today you saved $20 by talking dirty to Erica vs calling the local skank from CL)

I should have looked at this early. Erica is the by far the most pointless thing ever.

YES!!!! i was finally able to make that damned icon disappear!

Click your name at the top, then scroll down to Erica setting. Boom!

Thank you GT&O for your continuous improvements to the mobile app!

Agree - too many equivalent/superior alternatives out there. The latest update to the app now provides an option to disable the icon from appearing even if you have never "activated" it.

I contacted Bank of America asking questions about the Erica feature and options to disable it and received the usual "look how great Erica can be" marketing response - I kept pressing them for an answer on whether it could be disabled afterwards and finally was told that there was no option to disable the feature at this time. I asked if there would be such an option in the future and if not, why not; I received no response of any kind.

(prior post truncated) - The most important thing you need to know about Erica is that once you accept the Terms & Conditions and enable it to operate, you cannot go back, you cannot remove it, you cannot fully disable it. I only know this because of others who have enabled it and then learned there is no option to remove or disable it. I first noticed it as the annoying red dot (floating action button) on the mobile app and immediately looked for a way to remove it - none available. I considered enabling it thinking that maybe it would allow me to remove it after I had enabled it, but after reading the Terms & Conditions I was not at all comfortable enabling the feature even temporarily.

The most important thing you need to know about Erica is that once you accept the Terms I received no response of any kind. There is apparently an option now to disable Erica from listening, but still no option to disable and remove Erica completely. Just read the T&Cs and consider that Erica has no means of authenticating you, your voice, as an authorized interaction. Full disclosure: I’m also not comfortable with other popular AI gadgetry such as Siri, Alexa, pretty much all of them, but at least with those I can unplug the damned things – the only way to be completely certain that Erica is not still operating and/or capturing data in some way is to not use the mobile app and remove it completely. I want Erica to speak to me in a manly voice.

Is there a way to enable b--ch mode?

Erica is part of the mobile app so that’s not true.

Hell No. Ask our CEO how many people came to him mad as hell that they had software installed on their phones that they couldn’t get rid of.
