Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

change Healthcare policies on short term disability

I took a stress leave from work one month ago and have done nothing but fight to get my short-term pay. Is anybody else running into this situation? I would love to talk with you about it. One month still no pay.

I was told I would get my leave of absence package in 2 days, it is now 10 days and I still have not received it, yet I was able to get my FMLA denial letter within a week and I still do not have my package. I finally called a 3rd time and had it electronically sent to me to sign.

I was thinking of going out on stress leave. I think my hesitation was due to the fact that the company is a major cluster f***. I am sorry to hear what you are being put through. I hope it gets resolved soon.

I think a class action suit might get their attention.

I have faced a similar situation before in the past and it was definitely a legitimate case. This seems to be the way the process is designed. They repeatedly lose your faxes, run days and weeks off the clock for each step, and pepper your doctor with innumerable questions. Many doctors get so frustrated by all the paperwork that they insist on huge upfront fees to cooperate, and disability processors such as Matrix know they can use this as a mechanism to fend off claims. It is designed to be dishonest and so frustrating, complicated, drawn out, and costly that you give up or mess up and get fired for running out of FMLA time without getting the disability finding.

HR (People Solutions) is still so overwhelmed with the ongoing benefits and payroll mess that I wouldn't expect anything more than a useless runaround from them too.
