We know Prime Day is the 16th to 17th, but why is this week now a national black out week? Why have teams been instructed to leave certain fixtures empty for something to be merched in that week?

It’s not just prime day. Teams don’t know sales till 7 days out per amazon rules. Coordinators know and instruct teams to make sure certain key merchandising locations will be available for those times. So it will always be like this for display planning. Not that big a deal compared to “merchandise these chips on that endcap 2nd half of July” which is what happened anyways

You guys must have terrible TLs/STLs or lying. I’ve been a TL in multiple stores and it’s typical middle management garbage. Nothing insidious, just dumb, inefficient at times, annoying, etc... not great but nothing evil like people think. I don’t give two craps if my TMs are on vacation. Just normal making sure we can hold down the fort which isn’t hard during summer even with Amazon
Our STL and jar head ASTL curse every other word. It is seriously disturbing how much rage and literal demons are in these people.

The summer slump is the time you give heavy vacations to rest everyone for the spike come fall and into the new holiday season. Team member happiness doesn't exist under amazon.
