Thread regarding IBM layoffs

This blog-site is a shocking collection of no-confidence votes enough to oust the board, So something is not working.

The issues are NOT heard by shareholders who hold the REAL power to DISMISS the board. What is worse is that shareholders the likes of Buffet are bamboozled easily by (hollow) promises wrapped in complex technical jargon at shareholder meetings.

How about collecting the choicest issues to scent news-hungry media - they short the stock for profit, give them some serious payload to trigger an investigation.

As you've noticed and stated, the IBM Board of Directors is useless and the only action to trigger this change is to vote these folks out. Unfortunately IBM stock is institutionalized; meaning the majority of shares exist within many mutual funds we all collectively own. In other words they're entrenched. The financial institutions managing your funds with IBM shares in the mix are the ones to call. FYI I did this two years ago making sure my mutual monies didn't have one share of IBM in it. So to enact change, for those of you who've invested in your 401K's IRA's etc., make that call. Remove IBM from your mutual funds. If your mutual provider can't easily do it than change your provider. If enough of you do this believe me people will start to notice.
