TMS/PBS type positions are going to a Metro system where one TMSS (that's what we call them in my region) cover multiple stores. Similar to what we did with IT a few years ago... or accountants a few years before that.

@TSEyYCe-hvy a little sensitive are we? You must be PBS. I was referring to the time when we had to go through them for everything medical and such before the changes. I would have to call regional to get my answers because our PBS knew the answer but just didn't "feel" like doing his job. Everyone liked the guy because he was funny and he was a good talker but he was useless as PBS.

The workload is there, it’s nust drastically shifted in focus now. I’m sorry you need someone to hand hold you through a shoe ordering process. And I’m sorry to disappoint you, but TMS isn’t your personal psychiatrist. And yeah, most of the info you need IS on workday. Not sure how else you want them to service you.

Those two jobs were cushy for a long time. Never saw either person do anything more than walk around with a coffee in their hand and chat with their friends in the store. I could never get any help from PBS, he was always "too busy" (talking and joking with his friends in the store) and would actually lie to you so he didn't have to do the paperwork until he felt like it. Then he was all over you to get it in that day. Marketing, I don't even know what they do, never saw them actually work. Besides walking around the store they were either on their phone texting or on their personal FB page. We could use their salaries to hire regular team members.

PBS no longer exists in some regions. It's a 20hour PBP and every couple weeks a metro visits for a day.

They should switch the name to Team Leader Services Lead, since they don’t actually help team members anymore. Across several stores in the SW region I’ve gotten the same stories that they’re just there to listen to gossip from STLs and TLs, and to counsel TLs on the correct verbiage for the write ups they give out. For regular team members, all we hear is “that info is on workday”, or “you order your own shoes now, info is on the board outside”. Even with so many of these people covering 2 stores, the workload isn’t there anymore.

Don’t create unneeded fear. If folks think all TMS/PBS do is “scan things to ever bridge” (the company is called Carta by the way) they are sorely mistaken. Spend a day in that job and see what comes your way. With any job there is evolution, and that position has transformed with the needs of the business .

Think about it... TMSL is phasing out... We're moving more electronic centered. Scanning everything and uploading to ever bridge.. it's only a matter of time. They we're on the block in the SW for the beginning of this calendar year. I'm sure it'll happen next fiscal year. Just wait
