Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Q4 bonus... a huge joke

So they keep saying q4 was great, but for who? I know what our teams numbers were and the bonus does not reflect that. So whose pocket did that go into? Most certainly wasn’t mine.

In NA Apps cloud team, worst Q4 bonus in past years 10+ years!

I just purchased my commemorative FUMH mug at cafepress.com. Check them out here if you would love to express your love for Mark Hurd.

How appropriate that my code below was 69. Think Hurd and Fisher!

CB/RB can’t even get our new comp plans pushed out successfully and it’s almost July. The good news for them is there will be less comp plans to issue the longer they wait because we are losing staff left and right. Managers and CSMs are leaving and it’s clear why that is. Treated poorly

Q4 bonus has that been paid, isn't oracle following +60 days payment policy?

Ha. Exactly why I left for MSFT awhile back. Things were manageable until CB/RB stepped in to put our day to day responsibilities in a blender. What comes out? A liquid mess. Nobody knew what to do or when to do it.

Reading these posts just make it brutally obvious the CS organization is failing aggregioisly. RB sounds like he should be applying for jobs, as his employees are blowing up this board crying for some type of help. I hope they get some relief soon. I knew CB was a kiss a— from my OMC days. Have only heard more of the same about RB. Ineffective, self promoting and unable to manage or execute on anything. There seems to be 1 or 2 who like him and the rest are saying gtfo.

Team Lead in CS Bonus was great. Not sure about all the complaints. I am happy!

Very interesting to hear the perspective of the Toronto employee. Just confirms what we already know. RB and CB are poisonous to the org. RB is ruining the Hub, I’m seeing that first hand from Boston.

Poster 2 below is clearly out of those s--- ups mentioned earlier. A manager or one of the “chosen few” who have done some types of favors for RB. My bonus was the largest under the previous leadership. Clearly shows we are heading in the wrong direction...some might say into the ground. Morale has absolutely plummeted in ALL THREE HUNS with our new horrendous leader (some might even say clueless clown, RB). RB is self serving and pretentious. Claiming he’s a VP so people shouldn’t email him. Give me a break. I’ve never witnessed someone so horrible for leading millennials. Bottom line is he needs to get out. Or else it’s not going to end well.

My peers in Austin and Bedford say they struggle with RB and feels it’s because he is remote. I can tell you as a former Toronto employee he isn’t much better here either. He admittedly says he is in over his head. He is self promoting and consistently talks about how he has to tell low level employees to look at his rank and think about emailing someone else first. He has huge ego but lacks the ability to build relationships and trust. Most of OMC is gone because of the leadership of CB and RB.

RB told everyone the change would not happen overnight. And how is it fair to blame poor Q4 bonuses on new management when the bonus plan was decided by the last regime? Complaining about the current state of affairs is not the answer. Be excited and contribute to the effort. You have the unique opportunity of helping Oracle customers adopt a better model that will eventually improve CSAT and renewal rates. Need I point out the obvious truth of the existing model that didn’t work!? Just look at your Q4 bonus.

RB in Customer Success said they are burning the old to the ground. How is that not an HR violation? As a class of I’m horrified by our VP RB. He is going to fail, luckily I found a new job. I’m opting to take my bonus and run for the hills. Ciao Oracle!!! Cya never. This place s---s.

If our bonus pool really went to the OMC stooges I wouldn’t be too surprised. They follow the airplane methodology of taking care of themselves first before others. Pretty much promoting themselves to the top of the org. And aren’t even trying to seem fair at all

To note, this is in CS, so maybe OMC got my money? Guess we’ll never know
