Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

All is not lost!

As one of those who was cut by SWN in 2016 I can definitely tell those today that you will be okay. But nonetheless it hurts. When you give your all to a company and toss you aside, it feels like a big betrayal especially when you look back at a lot of people who survived that only gave half measures to their work. It cuts deeply, yes! But don't allow it to break your spirit. God has a plan for you whether you believe or not. You will be okay. Every time that times seem dark, you eventually end up in a better brighter place in life. I'm also sad to see that some of my ex-coworkers who are fine professionals got the ax today and hope you don't have to endure the hard time some of us had after 2016. The market is much better now. Also remember that it's family and close friends that really matter, and not corporationsure ran by greedy egomaniacs. Best of luck!

Well said. It is incredible to hear of some that contributed very little being kept while I am one of the many along with others that gave their all being let go. Very discouraging to see that. It is almost like they got a target in mind for each group and then cut randomly to achieve that target. It is a dark day for me, but I am positive the future will be bright.
