For those of you still worried about your job, don't be. Yes there will be continued layoffs all the time every quarter, but they all will be just under the warn notification threshold, and nothing "huge" or "massive" is coming. It will be a constant stream of small "in office" career assassinations and terminations, here and there.
If you still have a job, you've made it and figured out how to work the oracle machine to get that ever shrinking paycheck deposited with minimal effort. In addition to zero raises in a decade, you've stomached the hidden and out right reduction in bonus and pay like a champ. If you are like me you figured out how to survive by working about 18 hours a week remotely whilst wearing underwear on the couch.
Oracle did a wonderful job of slashing jobs over (30% of the work force since 2015) that few even noticed. Sure the Sun terminations made headlines, but aside from that any evil overlord that wants to silence opposition or quietly dispose of people should applaud the simple genius in the well executed plans by MH at Oracle.
The Oracle 10K (years end 10Q) published June 22nd is here:

Restructuring Expenses: Restructuring expenses resulted from the execution of management approved restructuring plans that were generally developed to improve our cost structure and/or operations, often in conjunction with our acquisition integration strategies. Restructuring expenses consist of employee severance costs and may also include charges for duplicate facilities and other contract termination costs to improve our cost structure prospectively.
Fiscal Year 2018 $588M
Fiscal Year 2017 $463M
Fiscal Year 2016 $458M
Our management approved, committed to and initiated these plans in order to restructure and further improve efficiencies in our operations. We may incur additional restructuring expenses in future periods due to the initiation of new restructuring plans or from changes in estimated costs associated with existing restructuring plans.
Hardly anyone noticed a disturbance as tens of thousands of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced over the past 3 years. Approximately a third of oracle's work force was replaced with cheaper workers and no one really noticed, except perhaps the customer base.
But who cares about the customer? Ha ha. Ha. That was a joke. Or was it?
Anyways if you were holding out for a package forget it. Just enjoy your meager paycheck, and pretend to work as Oracle pretends to pay you.
